Synopsis

Anja is 22 years old and studying to be a secondary school teacher at the pedagogical university Ludwigsburg.
She slips into a different role in every place. At night she puts on a smile at work, during the day she attentively sits in the classroom, and in the evening she sits bolt upright in front of her parents.
But the film also follows Anja to the place where she does not wear a mask. A state in which she is alone with herself, and which questions all the other places and roles.
For six months Anja has been suffering from depression.

The film „ALONE WITH MYSELF“ accompanies Anja on her quest for continuities, questions her role as a well-behaved daughter and thus becomes part of a process that has still only just begun when you get to the credits.
